DON BOSCO NEL MONDO Foundation is an international solidarity organization of the Congregation of the Salesians of Don Bosco, which has been working for young people in need on every continent since 1860 and is today one of the most important ecclesiastical humanitarian organizations in the world.
What differentiates us
in the Salesian universe?
The Foundation is a direct emanation of the General Council of the Congregation and, as such, it is the Organization responsible for transforming the charism of Don Bosco into work. It supports and finances the activities of the Salesians in the field and offers its support wherever the Congregation is called upon:
- it plans and distributes the funds of international solidarity according to both intentions of the supporters and the strategic lines of the Congregation and those of the Solidarity of the Rector Major according to the provisions of the General Council
- It accompanies the Salesian missions in the development of their planning capacity
- It intervenes as a co-financing body in emergency interventions
- It represents the Salesian institution with external organizations and institutions
Mission: caring for vulnerable young people
The mission of the Foundation is to support the Mission of the Congregation: caring for young people in need, in every place in the world.
We support projects in 138 Countries with the aim of providing education and professional training, defeating poverty, promoting integral ecology, and achieving social justice
Vision: St. John Bosco’s charism in action
The Salesian mission is a privileged expression of St. John Bosco’s charism: to give a better future to young people starting from the poorest and most defenseless in the world. As DON BOSCO NEL MONDO Foundation, we work to support it in every Province and Community on our planet in an organized, transparent, and synergic way.
